I think its awkward to make people pay for things that you are ordering. Maybe they would choose to go cheaper if you weren't ordering. Are you considering that? Don't bill me for a steak you ordered for me when I would've been fine with a bowl of gumbo.

We always just venmo as we go. Much easier than keeping a tally or something. I buy a dinner and everyone venmos me right there. We go out for drinks and a friend grabs the check, I'll Venmo them right there. It takes 2 seconds.

Fair. What I did was Venmo after the last night we’d all go out together aka the end of the weekend. They’re here to Thursday and I as a working adult with a job wasn’t running around New Orleans with them anymore so my contributions were over. Otherwise I’d likely have waited until the full bill was rung up.

the real story is that OP was probably just trying to impress the college girls and kept saying "I got you" and then they got mad when he sent them a bill after not really implying that they owed him

TL;DR version.

Girls expect guys to pay for everything.

Even when they are not having sex with the above guy.

Girls eat offended when you point out these facts.

You did nothing wrong. You're dealing with 21 year old girls. I think we can figure out the problem here

Well, don't ask for payments in form of sex. Especially if they are skinny white girls.

They had the menus and I didn’t order anything outrageous. I think the most expensive drink was $10. I also kind of discussed with them ahead of time and only took them to places in their price range they told me.

Is this today’s “TD posters don’t know how to operate in real world/social settings thread”?

This is basically what I assumed. But I’d rather check myself and see if I’m just being an arse or maybe I’ve just lost touch with the youth of today. Likely a little of both but yeah now I’m confirmed they were just acting regularly for 21 year old girls.

I don't think you did anything that wrong. It's completely up to personal preference when it comes to venmoing someone. They seem to be dramatic.

No doubt. I’m sure they didn’t expect someone who was ordering the specialty drinks for them at various bars to immediately send them a bill.

Except I have no reason to impress them and definitely told them at the beginning of the night I’ll just order things when it gets crowded so y’all get good drinks and can hang out and enjoy the atmosphere and y’all just pay me back. I have no reason to make it rain for these people.

Why, do they not have restaurants and bars where they are from?

This is your fault bro
