PROGRESS: Breastfeeding Groups Now Welcoming Breastfeeding "Men"

quote:
A breastfeeding advocacy group is floating the notion that men can nurse children. Nursing is not just for moms anymore, according to a blog post from the National Catholic Register this week that included a policy statement from La Leche League International (LLLI).
There are links to accounts on two websites in the blog post, one to an online TIME magazine column: Breastfeeding and parenting from a transgender perspective. [It] detailed stories of women who identify as men but who were able to become pregnant and nurse children.
LLLI … changed the policy, because “the cultural understanding of gender has expanded.” Therefore “it is now recognized that some men are able to breastfeed.”
A statement from LLLI said: “We recognize that any breastfeeding parent, regardless of whether they self-identify as a mother or father, should be – and is now – welcome to investigate LLL Leadership. There are other prerequisites that a potential Leader needs to satisfy, but being a woman isn’t one of them.”
Good news for those of you transitioning

Well, they are not men, so it should read, "Breastfeeding Groups Now Welcoming Confused Women Who Take Male Hormones So That They Can Grow Facial Hair and Get Attention They Weren't Provided As Children."

I’m a transgender guy in a gay relationship, and I want my kids to read books that include two-mom or two-dad families, or characters who express their gender as non-binary or trans.
This whole sentence could just read "I'm a future suicide risk with mental problems. I want my kids to be too"

I mean really people? That's not a man breastfeeding. That's a confused bitch dressed like a man.

Why do you guys let yourself get so worked up over this stuff. There always has and always will be a certain percentage of the population that is just strange.

Who's worked up? Just because I responded saying it's sickening doesn't mean I'm worked up. Just responding with the truth.
I'm actually having a nice morning. Just drank a little coffee and getting some burgers prepped to grill before this weather comes around.
Why do you assume we're all worked up?

Stan: I want to have babies.
Reg: You want to have babies?!?!?!
Stan: It's every man's right to have babies if he wants them.
Reg: But you can't have babies.
Stan: Don't you oppress me.
Reg: I'm not oppressing you, Stan -- you haven't got a womb. Where's the fetus going to gestate? You going to keep it in a box?
(Stan starts crying.)
Judith: Here! I've got an idea. Suppose you agree that he can't actually have babies, not having a womb, which is nobody's fault, not even the Romans', but that he can have the "right" to have babies.
Francis: Good idea, Judith. We shall fight the oppressors for your right to have babies, brother. Sister, sorry.
Reg: (pissed) What's the "point"?
Francis: What?
Reg: What's the point of fighting for his right to have babies, when he can't have babies?
Francis: It is symbolic of our struggle against oppression.
Reg: It's symbolic of his struggle against reality.
