LOL. I took it seriously until
quote:
There are a couple houses in my neighborhood where the neighbors put out little gay pride flags for people walking by to take one.
quote:
Well we are walking and we see our boys and their friend with these little gay pride flags in their hand they picked up from the neighbors that leave them out waving them down the street.

Interesting how “people should parent their own kids” somehow translates in your head to “insecure parenting.” Sounds like there’s some projection at some level.
You sound way more emotionally invested in another man’s parenting decisions than I do. I simply said internet strangers should stop acting like they’re the universal authority on raising children.
That shouldn’t be controversial unless internet outrage is your entire personality. OR you’re really invested in this topic for some reason or another.

If you can’t discern that OP is oozing with insecurity and turning to TD for parenting advice then you probably rode a short yellow bus to school.

I don’t want to make too big of a deal about it
Well you did a pretty poor job of that
quote:
I had a visceral reaction to it and I ran over and took them away and said “we don’t do that. We don’t celebrate that.”
"Hey guys, let's not take those flags. Its just not something we, as a family, support. Let's go return them."
No visceral reaction. No making a big deal about it.
The more you react, the more curious you kids will be about something. And instead of coming to you about it, they will seek alternate sources, such as friends, or worse, the internet.

First, this probably didnt happen at all.
Second, despite this fabrication, i do actually see your points. While i may not agree with some of them, they are certainly valid arguments.
then
lol, ok, gtfo here.

The gay pride flag for me is as offensive as a swastika or something like that. It’s very distressing having it get pushed on my kids.
lol, ok, gtfo here.

I don’t disagree that his need for TD validation is a little strange. Still not as strange as your original comment, though or how irrationally angry this topic seems to make you and others.

You somehow know that this isn’t a true statement?

It's seems that your only option is to not let your kids go outside.

For all the people saying the dad is wrong about the gat being pushed on kids you must really have your head up your arse. Every commercial now has a gay portrayal every show now has a gay character in it there is an entire month celebrating who they choose to sleep with. \But the gay population is something like less than 5% of the general public. You really have to be blind to think its not an agenda being pushed on everyday people

We need more patriot fathers like yourself. You are helping make America great again. Thank you for your service

It’s you and OP who are irrationally angry

Half the population wants to indoctrinate children into believing that being gay is a sinful abomination. Half the population wants to indoctrinate children into believing that being gay is normal. Both sides accuse the other side of wanting to indoctrinate children; neither side believes they are indoctrinating children.

dOnT teLL aNyOne how to PaRent!! Even though OP is looking for parenting advice because he caught his kids holding gay pride flags.

be careful: boosie and 13Saints are going to tell you they pray your kid gets AIDS.

Tell them all about what that flag means. If they know, they likely will want nothing to do with it and will avoid the neighbors who are handing them out.

Darn shame those “liberal” people aren’t open minded to those with different thought.

They’re doing this specifically to teach kids that it’s normal.
