It’s mostly at their old crow facility, but I drink a lot of old crow in the fall.

News says lightning caused the fire.

Seems God woke up with a bad Jim Beam hangover

Their black label in the old style bottles is equally under appreciated.

I'd put it on par with $35 Elijah

So, since whiskey is aged for some length of time, does this mean that Jim Beam will have a shortage or something?

The warehouse holds 45,000 barrels. I doubt they lost anywhere near that.

I see all the downvotes. Oh well. I think Jim Beam isn’t even close to being as good as Crown. Just my opinion.

I can’t believe the treason I’m reading here and so close to July 4th. Why don’t you start a Canadian babe thread while you’re at it?

With the heat and humidity up here, we’ve had a lot of nasty pop up storms with a lot of lightening the last couple of weeks so I’m not shocked. Because of the Angel’s share, it doesn’t take much to start a fire in one of those rack houses. I’m surprised it hasn’t happened more often.

Of bigger concern is potential contamination of the Kentucky River.

And Jim Beam Black Label is a solid, low cost bourbon.

Once those barrels became exposed to the outside elements and potential fire (and anything used to extinguish the fire) they were likely lost.
