Handles were up $5 this morning at rouses. ($30)
Let’s hope they can get their numbers back up.

One article states that the 45,000 barrels makes up only about 1% of their inventory. They have over 3 million barrels stored throughout the US. They are the largest Bourbon maker in the US. That warehouse was also a new batch, about 3 years away from bottling so it will not affect prices.

I am personally publicly volunteering to assist poor young Mila work through this tragedy in (almost)* any way possible.

This is the saddest fact out of this bourbon disaster.

The warehouse holds 45,000 barrels. I doubt they lost anywhere near that.
They almost surely lost at least that many. Fortunately it was young whiskey, primarily earmarked for the Old Crow brand from what I've read, and they have about 3.5 million extra barrels lying around the property. Shouldn't be a blip for the consumer when it's all said and done. Their production capabilities could replace the lost barrels in about a month.
Still sucks to see all that hard work go up in flames.

No it’s not if you’d educate yourself. It’s not just jim beam mash recipe. Look at the lineage. I believe Jim Beam was Booker Noes great grandfather. Hence Bookers bourbon. Also Basil Hayden is made under the same group. Then Bookers son started Knob Creek. Lots if history in that family of bourbon. Also can say the same with Dr Crow.

Is it fricked up or somehow immaculate that I thought the title said “Popeye’s needed. Jim Bean warehouse is on fire.”

Typical Rouse move. They always jack up prices around any holiday. Nothing to do with the fire.
Slab of ribs probably going for $15 - $20 this weekend.

That's the saddest part of this. It'll kill a ton of fish and wildlife in the area and will seep into groundwater.
