Just look at how long it’s taken them to get where they are with the Picou bridge on I 10. And they are no where even close to being finished with that. This new Miss River bridge will never be completed in our lifetime.

Review the bridge project spanning Dawson Creek at Congress.
That is how you build a bridge not.

We went from 4 locations and a map to 17 specific sites and no map. We can’t have outsiders buying up all the property.

It depends on what part of town you live in, I guess. If you have to go to Plaquemine to cross over to St. Gabriel, that won't help me much. But if you are going to Gonzales or Prairieville, it would be helpful.

It is only 28 miles from bridge to bridge. So they narrowed it from a possible bridge location every mile to every other mile. Cool cool.

It should connect to 74, and 4 lane that all the way to I-10. Getting through PLAQUEMINE already sucks, but I’m sure it could be looped around.

Let the current bridge feed 12, and new bridge feed 10.

This is like trying to take a woman to dinner. You can either waste all night talking about where you could go, or you can be a man and make a decision and just bed her down right there.

Several proposed sites located just south of Addis showed strong marks under the criteria of the first screening round, but transportation department project manager Paul Vaught told district members to not read too much into that because strong ratings in the first round are not necessarily an indicator of how they will perform in the second round. Through the second round of screening, Moree said, the team will further whittle the list down to three of four alternatives. The shorter list of sites should be complete by fall 2022.

This is a microcosm of everything that is wrong with America. Everybody wants to have a voice, so nothing gets done.

32 proposed sites along the river from Brusly to Donaldsonville

WTF? Did they have a proposed bridge every 150 yards?

Not sure why you would get closer to Donaldsonville when they already have a bridge.
If they make it a toll bridge realistically how many will pay a toll, Donaldsonville bridge used to be a toll bridge as well.

I really hope this project moves as fast as the DOTD's La. 3241 highway project. If you want to see government efficiency in action look no further than this impressive road building exercise. This bad boy of a project started in 1971 and in 15 more years it should be finished!
