Reacting to hurricanes is a large part of that job. She was a lot like JBE, she wasn't familiar with where all the switches and valves of government are, and she failed to hire people who did.
People underplay the technical side of running the state, it's important. Mike Foster was the best at it of anyone. An important bridge gets taken out by a crane, no problem, not month after month like JBE.

I'm the opposite. I love mafia movies, but I find The Godfather to be slow/boring. I think what I love about other mafia movies is the flashiness.

The entire LSU gameday as a whole is overrated to me. We gave up our season tickets a few years ago (go figure we won the natty the first year we didn't have them), and honestly I don't miss it.
Parking and walking across the earth, having to stand in long port-o-potty lines every time I have to pee, sweating my arse off in the stadium, the long walk back to the car only to sit in traffic for over an hour when I live ~7 minutes from LSU without traffic, etc.
Its just something you have to revolve your whole weekend around, and it is exhausting. Watching the game in high def in my living room with a clean bathroom, an open bar, and much better food has been awesome. And I can do other things with my day until game time. It isn't a whole weekend wasted.

I don't like most desserts, which is a pretty unpopular opinion. Its not like I'm repulsed and can't physically eat it or anything, but you'll never tempt me with a cookie or cake.
I don't plan on having kids, which is pretty unpopular. Its not really an "opinion" though. Just that I don't think kids fit into my lifestyle and don't find myself interested in the day-to-day of being a parent.
Don't like watching TV much. Could go weeks without turning it on.
Don't care much for Alabama/Florida beach trips. They're fine and I can enjoy myself certainly, but we have only taken 1 in the almost 10 years we've been together. I prefer cool cities.

All of Florida or just panhandle? Florida has some great beach cities

The panhandle is what I was referring to. I think I could have a really good time in some of the other east coast cities, especially if its a cool city that also happens to have a beach. Especially if there are restaurants/bars on the beach. For example, I had a great time in Key West.
I prefer full service type setups where I can order drinks and food, they provide towels/chairs, there's a bathroom, etc.
I kinda view panhandle vacations as something you do once you have a family. You rent a condo vs. multiple hotel rooms, you can cook meals, if you do go out it is casual/cheap, etc. For just a couple with no kids, all of that is just as expensive as flying somewhere else. So it has less appeal.

I married into a family that does an annual beach trip. I also have access to a family beach house on the Alabama coast. I am so damn sick of the beach, especially in the summer. Wife’s family is already planning next summer’s beach trip. Ugh.
