A lot of people don't realize this, but KC spans both Kansas and Missouri. KCMO and KCKS are both the areas that are the roughest. KCMO is probably the most like Baton Rouge or NOLA - especially this area. The suburbs on the Kansas side are relatively crime free. Leawood and Lenexa are both really nice towns.
