Why?

This is what Democrats want to turn America into. Let everyone see what happens in these cities and learn from it.

How do you protect the police and other innocents when the DA won’t charge anyone? Simple government has broken down and the gong show has gone on far enough. Time to gather the protesters and charge them in federal court. Investigate the DA, mayor, council and find something to charge them with. Restore order and actually be a government.

Nothing will put an end to the protests in Portland and Seattle like some Tomahawk missiles.

These George Soros plant prosecutors are an absolute plague around this country. They all need to be rounded up and hung on the steps of the capital

Do you have to be rioting about something specifically, or can you just go out and burn shite and steal even though you weren't actually mad about anything?

I hope Portland looks like Atlanta circa 1864.

I wonder what would happen if insurers said, "We're out. You're on your own"?

So, the DA is promoting lawlessness. Nice.

Burn it down till common sense can return.

it's refreshing to hear anyone in a position of power actually admit this stuff

this year has significantly taxed my optimism but i'm cautiously hopeful about our new DA

Wow, A top law enforcement officer who gets the big picture. How refreshing. Mr. Schmidt, if you are able to assist in mediation between protesters, law enforcement, and city officials in drafting a community plan for restructuring funding so law enforcement are responding to violent crimes, and money is shifted to mental health, drug treatment, housing, youth and victim services, that would be great! We already know from the ACE study and years of trauma informed research that what people really need in crisis is direct assistance and resources not a law enforcement response. Thank you for protecting protesters’ constitutional rights.

Conversely, I bet he’d throw the book at business owners and homeowners that defend themselves and their property.

I think we might have some military snipers that need some practice. I'd love to see how long this lasts once about 10 get popped randomly from a half a mile away.

If the majority of Portland citizens reach the point that they've had enough, then they will no doubt go out and nail their politicians upside down to a tree. Until they do, this is the government they get.
