It will cost more than a new Huracan.

About the same for an EVO, about 100k cheaper than an STO. But you'll get half as much VD with the Porsche.

A $60k model 3 tesla performance will do that 0-60 in one tenth of a second lower.

Yeah, naw.

You are missing how Porsche sandbags all their cars acceleration times. The 992 GT3 tests at 2.8 0-60 and with the lower gear ratio, slightly more horsepower but also slightly more weight than the GT3 the GT3RS will turn 60 times in the 2.7 second range pretty much guaranteed, and unlike a lot of other cars they can do this pretty much all day long.

While 911 are not built to be stop light monsters the still are.

The configurator is up on the Porsche site. The way I would spec one comes out to be about $314 grand, but that is with paint to sample which is over $18k, and also with the "required" Weissach package.

Yeah, if you want a dragster why get a Porsche. Get an old supped up Trans Am with nitrous for a fraction of the price.

I would love to cruse around on a sunny day in one of these replicas tho:

But again, why not just get a cup?

The GT3 or GTS will be superior on public roads. The cup would destroy it on a track.

Seems almost a waste outside of simple bragging rights.

If I had the money for a GT3 RS, it’s the first thing I’m buying. In the mean time, my Mach 1 gets me around the track okay.

At this point I'm not entirely sure the point of the RS. A regular GT3 or GTS is going to be much better for the street and a GT3 Cup is going to be much better for the track.

That is the conundrum with the 911. There are about 25 versions to choose from just to start the build. Most of these won't be daily drivers and probably won't see the track either. Sometimes the heart wants what the heart wants and sometimes the heart wants a track-day weapon with license plates.

I still say the 911 Turbo S is the best balance between supercar performance and DD capabilities.

I've had two Porsches in the past and now I drive an Audi SQ5. And since you chose to name call, that's your answer dipshit.

Why'd you decide on an SQ5 over the Macan?

If you ever drive a 911, you’ll understand the hype. You’ll also understand the $400 oil change.

Macan was released almost a year later and I was ready to buy. They're built on the same frame and share a ton of parts. Plus, I was a little tired of the 9000 buttons in the Porsche.

The SQ5 has been a great car and I have been happy with my choice. I've thought about getting a newer one but it drives so well and looks like new still.

When I had my Porsches I had the weirdest collection of metric sockets and tools you've ever seen.

I thought they would have been making these hybrid by now to capture the best of both the ICE and electric.

Man could you imagine the outrage from 911 owners if they threw in EV components? I'm not even sure they've gotten over water cooling yet.

I grew up around cars but admittedly I never drove a 911. Best guy friend got a BMW back in the day and asked me why I never asked to drive it. I answered because I want to drive it the way it was meant to be driven. Fast forward to an incident happening where his mom and wife got sick when we were all in Houston. He drove mom's car home and I drive the BMW. I am barely on the interstate good when my phone rings...

I have zero issues with a $400 oil change
