Francis is a true piece of shite. Even the most devout Catholics I know that used to get pissed when I shite on him are now in agreement that he is a sick piece of shite who has further fricked up the church.

Lack of a female companionship did not make the priest gay, or pedophiles they were that way when they entered the priesthood. They were attracted to the priesthood because it was almost designed for their lifestyle and purpose.
However, allowing priest to marry would open the priesthood to a larger pool of men beyond those that are gay, sexual predators, or just generally creeps.

I'm Catholic, and after visiting Rome/Vatican City, I'm convinced that the Catholic Church is the most successfully run, fear-based business of all time.

Not good. Francis will be gone, one day, the Church has outlived worse popes and every possible enemy for nearly 2000 years. We will survive this guy, as well. Of course, this makes it no easier as it is happening in front of our faces now.
