I live in Orlando. 100k isn’t really a good living here, it’s mediocre. I imagine 100k in actual major cities is scrapping by.
An individual making $100k in Orlando would be making double the median household income.

the median home income for Orlando is $41k

$1,200 a FREAKING WEEK unemployment from the Government unemployment stimulus plan
I believe to qualify for the Federal Money all you had to work was one day before you were laid off.
No earnings parameter. One day hired and you are in.
600 per week. Taxable.
How many do you think are paying are putting money aside for taxes?
Going to be a lot of folks with tax problems is my prediction.

You’re trying too hard to impress strangers online.
Lulz. These numbers aren’t impressive. We are not talking about sums of money that make one rich, they make one kind of comfortable. I know few educated people living in major US cities with dual incomes and children, who make under $200k. Start adding up the cost of child care, housing, cars, college funds, retirement—$200k isn’t shite.
I spend $30k per year on childcare, and that’s me getting a great deal and not including all their activities.

Unnecessary vacation? I've never heard of such a thing.

These are mostly luxury items so yeah, people being able to afford this are well off.

Go watch the Florida Project. It’s very accurate. When you have a huge tourism economy with probably 35-40% just making over minimum wage, it’s going to drive the average household income down.

$4,500 Stimulus Check

But I'm trying to figure out how they managed this if neither one had a full-time job when this went down.
The stimulus has nothing to do with employment. Hell, I have a relative who has been dead for two years that got a $1,200.00 stimulus check that literally was made out to “Jane Doe (deceased)”
We endorsed the check as “John Smith- executor of Jane Doe’s Estate” and put it in their estate account.

Man you do know that not everyone is the same with how they buy cars and houses?
You don’t seem very smart with your money and that’s ok.

I literally said I get how they got the stimulus check. It's pretty specific in who qualifies for what.
Just not the unemployment based on their "jobs". I was curious how they managed that.

Sounds like the poors did more to stimulate the economy than the non-poors who stuck all that money in savings.
frick that. I bought a new rifle and holographic sight and I didn't even get a stimulus check.

Being wealthy has nothing to do with what you make, but how much you save.

that $100k in Orland is not "mediocre"

100k is not that much better. It keep you from living check to check, but you're still living modes
there is a massive difference in living paycheck to paycheck and having just have lesser lifestyle luxuries

I see what you were trying to say now. I was confused bc you had the quotes below your response rather than above them. Backwards.

well it puts you in the top 10% of incomes in Orlando, so I'd say it gets you better than a "mediocre" life, unless you are just retarded

vacations, cars, homes, etc
why are you struggling with this?

These threads always show the people who are horrible with their unnecessary spending and debt.

Haha. I have been saving and investing for 15 years. That doesn’t negate the need for a house, college funds, daycare, and auto expenses.

You don’t need an $800k home, a dumb kid who can’t get a scholarship, Spanish immersion day care, or a Range Rover in the driveway.
