Hey coastal - if this is legit it’s pretty myopic. So many people have it worse than you genetically and otherwise.
Again if real, worry about what you can control. Be useful and be happy.

No. You don't get a do-over.
"And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment." (Heb, 9:27)
That's why you need Jesus as your Lord & Savior today.
No man is ready to live until he is ready to die.
No man is ready to die until he is ready to meet God.
No man is ready to meet God until he knows Jesus as his Lord & Savior.
This is why the Bible speaks of peace that passes understanding (Phil. 4:7) and unspeakable joy (1 Pt. 1:8). And it's why we (believers in Jesus) keep writing Him songs.
Praying you'll meet Jesus soon.

Reading your post and not knowing anything else about you I’m going to say that it seems like you’re miserable because you want to be miserable.
At least that’s how it came across to me.

Look for an environmental issue effecting you.
Down pillows/comforter
Mold/mildew
Dirty ductwork-A/C system
Allergy to specific plant or tree pollen in your yard/area
Get a good air purifier for your bedroom
Change A/C return filter offer and get a good allergen filter
Use a saline nose spray multiple times a day to flush out allergens that cause a histamine reaction that can lead to sinus and bronchitis issues
Steamy showers to open up the bronchial tubes

Is it post nasal drip or acid reflux? Acid reflux can cause you to clear your throat every 10 seconds

What kind of sicko gets satisfaction from posting this thread every year or other year? Genuinely well meaning people are in here trying to help him and he’s doing this stuff. Wow.

I have significant medical problems that are slowly but surely getting worse (including chronic bronchitis/coughing/swallowing disorder along with blood pressure).
I didn't read all 11 pages...what does the OP do for a living?
What about diet and lifesytle, did he mention how healthy or unhealthy that is?
Sure, some of these complaints are things that our bodies can be pre disposed to but it doesnt mean that there isn't anything we can do about them.
A healthy diet, avoiding alcohol, exercise, taking vitamins and supplements for genetic issues, continual bloodwork, etc.
There are so many things around us that rot us from the inside but there is so much we can do about it. It isn't always easy but it can literally save lives.
Lastly, I'd find a PCP that believes in the practice of medicine like this..
quote:
on a mission to change the face of medicine and believe that the future of healthcare is not only found in a prescription bottle. Where science alone falls short, the art of medicine effortlessly fills in the gaps by providing true individualized “whole-person” care; ultimately placing the highest value on the patient-doctor relationship.

First, I’m sorry you’re battling this situation: physically and state of mind
Second, there are so many unanswered questions……many that could point to psychosomatic issues.
Third, find mental health counseling as a priority over traditional health care that you feel “can’t find answers”…….you very well have the answers already and don’t need hardcore medical intervention.
My man, your biggest step is mentally. Get help with that stat.
And, start with focused dietary improvements (ie more produce, less sugar, no booze/drugs, etc) and just start fricking daily walks (work up to an hour or longer).
First step out of a hole is STOP DIGGING.

Get a 2nd medical opinion. My wife's batting 2 for 2 with 2nd opinions. It's my understanding that mental health is commonly tied to physical health.
I will second this. A second opinion saved my grandfather’s life. Stupid doctor didn’t do a basic check

I think I'm done. I hate to say that but I'm scared and I'm tired. I'm 40 but I have significant medical problems

As I'm now 40 and with my medical problems I just feel very directionless in my life and honestly I'm just worn down. I definitely didn't win the genetic lottery when I was born and I just hate feeling like I'm some defective toy.

I'm single with no wife or kids to be responsible for. I used to think that's what I wanted but honestly it can get pretty lonely at times. I'm still willing to date though dating feels pretty hopeless and just too much work at my age. Plus who is going to want to marry a guy who has medical problems like me? The point is no one really relies on me financially so it won't be that difficult for them.
sounds like you are out of shape big time and the medical issues are getting worse.
my real advice
1) get your hromone levels checked immediately
2) find a therapist to talk to. mental state is important brother. I know you said you tried but i think you need to try again and find someone else. keep trying until you find someone you connect with.
3) drop alcohol, period. atleast for 6 months.
4) start lifting weights and eating perfectly. You are single and still young. Stay out the bars and start focusing everything on getting fricking big and ripped. Honestly if you do this 1 thing and really focus on it, bet most of your medical problems will go away, you will have energy, mental health will improve etc

Look into the supplement NAC. It thins mucus and also helps you feel better mentally.

Keep looking.
Do you smoke?
Are you in Louisiana? If so where about ? You may need to GTFO of LA.
You are 40 and unmarried. Two strikes there. Recipe for depression. Thinking about shite and worry. And reflection on a life that you will feel (at this time) was wasted. You can’t see any positives.
You need answers to bronchitis and a change of scenery.

So to summarize, you have a treatable medical condition but just can’t seem to get your pill schedule on a routine. You are single because dating is too much trouble. And lastly, your job situation could be improved but you are too lazy to do the work and your plan was to come to an internet message board to complain about it?!? I think you were born a generation too early.

You may not believe that, but what if you did?

Have you tried different doctors? Modern medicine has the answer for most things but sometimes the docs aren’t working as hard as they can and just write it off as nothing.
