NEVER throw away anything from the Nielsen Corporation.
They're not just the TV rating people. They send out short surveys to random people for various other clients and there is often a few bucks of cold hard cash in there that their clients have paid to compensate you for your time if you so choose to answer their survey.
It ain't much, but free money is free money.

Anything addressed to me/or current resident is immediately tossed in the trash.
Political crap, sales crap, unsolicited mail in the form of businesses selling extended car warranties, car dealerships wanting to buy back my vehicle to sell me a new one, etc.

I love getting these surveys with 5 bucks enclosed.
I put the money in my wallet and throw away the rest. Then just lol when they follow up with a guilt trip.

Recruiting letters from Coach Cal.
Sometimes there’s gift cards in them but I’d rather check out the hoes in L’ville.

So my solution to this and credit card apps and all, was to take their prepaid envelopes and stuff them with whatever I could find.
I would write “NO...Eff off” on the applications and by the time I was done their envelopes weighed several ounces and I would mail it back to them.
The credit card companies pay for the return postage and after about a month or two I stopped receiving them.
Whether it had anything to do with my mailing stuff back or not, I can’t confirm, but I like to think it did.
