Depends on which one is hungry

Then the bear. A bear is constantly looking for food. Gators aren't.

Its not mythical. Bears are huge. They cant just mow down small trees. A bear cant just fly down a steep hill. They also wont continue to chase you once you no longer threaten them

An adult grizzly cannot climb trees. Only brown and black bears can.

That's one of the better statement-to-gif combos I've ever seen

quote:When I was in NC last summer a small/medium grizzly did just this right in front of our car. I was driving down a road and we saw him/her hauling arse down the side of mountain to our left. There were some small trees and rock terrain of course. He then hurdled the fricking railing and into the road in front of us, I had to slam on the brakes literally. It hurdled the railing on the other side of the street and continued downhill again.
A bear cant just fly down a steep hill.
ps - actually I think it was a black bear not a grizzly

This is true, however a full grown grizzly can shake or even break a pretty big tree.

Yeah but can you shimmy up a tree before a 9 ft tall bear stands on its hind legs and pulls you down?

And the gator will? A gator isn't going more than 20 feet. A bear will chase you for a thousand yards.

How deep is the water that we're in? How close to the shore are we?

Grizzly. Maybe you can climb a tree. And play monkey and jump from tree to tree if possible.
Posted on 6/8/17 at 11:42 am to OMLandshark
I didnt argue anything about a gator.

I bet it can't cling to the side of a cliff on the descent.

nothing you construct in the wild will do shite to a grizzly
I bet some sort of punji stick device would give you some advantage.
