Pick one -- In the woods near large Grizzly or in the water near large Croc/Gator

You have no weapons of any kind, just you and the beast. You'll need to scare it off somehow or prepare to fight it.

Would you rather be confronted by a bear in the woods or a crocodile/gator in the water?

edited to add Crocs to the discussion since gators are apparently pussies and easily choked out OT style.

unlikely with the gator, unless you stumble upon its nest

I'd rather take my chances on land than in the water. I have a lot better chance of outrunning a bear than trying to swim faster than a gator

Borderline, but no.

Gator, I guess. You really don't have any way to defend yourself or scare off and alligator if you're just floating around in the water.

you don't

if you are alone and unarmed and encounter a large grizzly in the woods, the only question is if it wants to kill you or not. if it does, you're dead 100% of the time

Scariest part is the toothless hillbilly methhead watching said events and preparing to buttfrick the loser.

So just to be clear, we're picking which one is scarier? Gator for sure. You can't see where it's at, and much harder to try and get away while in water.

A grizzly bear ain't sneaking up on anyone. And I'd rather take my chances running on land from a bear than trying to swim away from an animal that is literally made for swimming and attacking in water.

That said, I probably end up dead in both scenarios.

Too many variables left out still. If it's whether I'd fight a gator or grizzly I'm choosing fighting the gator.

True, but you may be able to use terrain to your advantage and maybe rig up a weapon or two.

how?

it's faster than you on ground and can climb trees better than you can. whatever rock climb you could attempt, it can do better/faster

nothing you construct in the wild will do shite to a grizzly

I'm asking this in all honesty: do gators attack under water? I've heard they cannot numerous times and that they come out of the water to attack. And then I think of all nature videos and the crocs always sneak up and launch out of the water. If this is the case wouldn't you need to just dive underwater when around the gator?

Bear. I'm a land creature so my best chance is on land. How fast can bears run?

Gator. Easy.

I guess we need to decide on the size of the gator.

Under 7ft, put on some rice.

Bears can run faster than you and can climb. There is no escape if its mega pissed off.

Gator would be easier to get away from. They don't see as well.
