Phil has previously admitted to being a philanderer prior to finding Jesus. However, it appears his daughter was conceived just before he devoted himself to the church. " Al said, adding that he "dismissed" the letter at first because the woman's birthday was after the time Phil had become a Christian in the 1970s.

That article seemed to show them really taking it in stride.

"I started thinking, there's a 45-year-old woman out there who doesn't know who her dad is, and she's looking," Al said. "And I thought, even if it's not dad, she needs to know it's not dad."

Al finally approached his parents, and Phil agreed to take a DNA test — which ended up being a "99.9 percent match."

Phil interjected to say that when he got the call of his parentage, he said, "bring her on down" so they could meet.

quote:

Phil said that the family has already met Phyliss and that the Duck Dynasty audience can expect to meet her soon on an upcoming episode of the podcast.

"It's a pretty cool explanation of redemption, reconciliation, love," the Robertson patriarch said. "As it turns out, 45 years, you have a daughter that you don't know about, and she has a father she doesn't know about. 45 years that doesn't sound like very long but you say, that's a while. So finally, after all those years, we come together."

If any man and family can handle the shock of having a new 45 year old daughter from an affair years ago and take it in stride, showing the love of Christ, its Phil Robertson and his family. He has not hidden from his sins, nor has he hidden from this. He mentioned in the Unashamed Podcast revealing the news that he is unashamed of his sins and admits them openly because he knows he's forgiven through what Jesus has done for him.

I'm sure it's awkward, I'm sure it's different, and from a worldly view the typical man and his family wouldn't want to understand or learn about this new person - but from a Godly viewpoint - Phil says "bring her on down" and lets meet her.

A sin that turns into a gift and blessing, another testimony of the transparency and truth Phil, a good Christian man lives out

Bruh, after this amount of time, what is anyone gonna say?

Just roll with it and enjoy life.

They have another sibling and a new adventure. Let it go at that.

I wouldnt let this bother me much at all if i were one of the kids

If that happened to me, I'd feel immense guilt knowing a kid grew up without one of their parents.

In b4, would't happen to me because no one wants to bang me.

I’ve heard stories about Phil that are downright hard to believe except for the fact that I firmly trust the source.

The guy was shall we say “rough”. And he didn’t exactly treat women with the respect that we see them demanding these days. I’m actually shocked that there aren’t more stories out there about him.

Phils a good man, and I do believe a genuine article. I admire him, and the way he's handled this is par for the course with the guy.
