The mass majority of people have had no issues since the beginning. Why would the masses hump at the chance to take the vaccine? They do it for the flu, so I get it... But I have yet to date seen a reason to go get either of those. I am also out in public exposed every day. At that logic, I may as well take medicine for a headache every day to prevent me from ever getting one or reduce the pain if I do.

Funny we didn't hear him saying that before his company landed 2 billion dollars.

Does that actually make sense in your head?

Not enough clinical trial data is available yet. I'll pass on taking this until there is.

Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla hasn’t received his company’s Covid-19 vaccine shot yet, saying Monday he and other executives will not “cut the line” as U.S. officials kick off a massive effort to distribute the vaccine across the country. While Bourla’s company developed the vaccine, he is not a frontline health-care worker himself. He said he’s also 59 and in relatively good health, so it’s not entirely appropriate for him to receive the vaccine before other people who need it more.

Well it's true.

Here's a roll out guide from mass.gov (first I found):

So unless he has 2+ co-morbidities, his spot in line should be March/April. Assuming no comorbidity, he's not an essential worker as an executive and he's under 65+ years.

Some of the other guidelines have it by age first: 70+, 70s, 60s, 50s, and then people with comorbidities. So he's not wrong in that he's not one of the first groups who should be getting the vaccine.

And he's not high profile enough to be an influencer in getting it publicly.

Friend,

If he were to get the vaccine, and break the protocol of who gets it first, there would be public outrage. We shall see how your post ages in 6 months after he does get it. It's very interesting and surprising to see the anti-vac movement on the OT and PT.

Do any hospitals make any vaccination mandatory?

Yes, lots

John’s Hopkins for one has the flu vaccine as 100% mandatory.

At Ochsner, There is mandatory like language for Flu, however, there are some ways around the vaccine without facing punishment, but punishment up to dismissal can happen

And you have some if the worst information on this forum

However, at Ochsner, Varicella and MMR is 100% mandatory. A blood draw to prove your immunity is actually required

So, maybe you need to take your inverted penis and leave the thread

I found out yesterday from Maricopa county public health that I’m eligible to get the vaccine in the first phase for healthcare workers.

I’m quite excited for such news. Just waiting to get an email that gives me the green light to officially register and make my appointment for my two shots at one of the 5 vaccine pods they have set up for the first phase of vaccinating all healthcare workers. In Maricopa county they are expecting to vaccinate 120k workers total in the first phase (healthcare workers and first responders).

ETA: There has been absolutely no talk at all at my hospital or any of the other hospitals I have friends working at of making the vaccine mandatory at this time for staff. I don’t see that happening anytime soon.

Friend,

Those who are spreading disinformation about the vaccine are often the ones who did the same about masks. Rather than free thinkers as they claim to be, objective and truth seekers, they are, in the spirit of the author of the Epistles of John, little satans sent to sow seeds of confusion.

Masks and the vaccine are our way to end this pandemic. I pray to get mine soon, and hope your immune response does not make you feel too ill for too long when you get yours.

I just want to thank you for this thread because it gives me hope in humanity. TD was starting to be overrun by the crazies and I'm glad to know there are still logical, smart people in this community.

I'm getting the vaccine Monday.

My medical director/boss (an infectious disease physician) is taking some vacation time starting next week. She is spending part of her time off volunteering at the vaccine pods to help give vaccines because that is how much she believes in this vaccine.

Our Superintendent addressed some things yesterday in the board meeting and it looks like we'll be getting ours in mid to late January. I'll be signing up as well.

Our vaccine pods go live tomorrow. So I’m guessing I will be getting my first shot in the next few weeks.

At least in this case you know the risks and the worst that happens is you get some diarrhea.

Who knows what any long term Covid vaccine effect is
