I walk by them and say excuse me. If they don't move I move the cart.
I like to make some slight contact with it so they know they are in the way. Then give them the smartass grin.

This is my favorite individual to have done this. It's apparently some sort of internet mystery of how it came to be.

almost as bad as the peripherally vision challenged cart pushers in the middle of the parking lot AISLE. one side or the other hon, make your move, so I can get on with life.

If they have walked away from it I would add a few items to it. Expensive ones if they are easily found.

People who can't walk and chew gum at the same time, yet they insist on carrying on an in depth conversation on the phone while they try to shop. If your conversation overloads you to the point that you freeze up right where I need to be multiple times don't get offended when I tell you take your arse to the car and finish your conversation.

I had a woman explain to me in a sore the difference between a man and a woman shopping.
A man comes comes in and gets what he came after, a woman shops.
I don’t go to any store with my wife, she’s a shopper.

What about when they leave their cart at the pump and walk inside??

I think it’s more obliviousness in general that bothers me. Like pausing in the doorway to look at your list. Or the friends that ran into each other and have to chat in the middle of the main aisle, surrounded by their families. Even worse is when they see you and don’t care. They’re blocking the path and they look up and see you coming and don’t move.

They have a job to do and they don’t want to hit anybody’s car. You could have an ounce of generosity and hold up for 10 seconds.
I don’t know if you’ve ever pushed buggies before but they can lose traction and the whole line can easily drift and slide to either side.

Not really and if you can slide by, you usually bump their cart and they get huffy and puffy. Inconsiderate of other people. Take the whole aisle.

Them and slow & wide right turners are the most damaging to my calm (which is eroded to begin with).
I typically just start taking shite out of their cart and putting it on the floor until they move.
Slow, wide, right turners I stalk and at least terrorize for months.

Two of my biggest pet peeves:
1) I'm in a grocery store and someone has parked their cart in the middle of the isle and they're staring at the food like they are attempting to compute quantum physics in their head. WTF is so hard to decide on and why are you blocking the isle? Jesus. 80% of the time its a woman.
2) Also in the grocery store or anywhere else where you may have interactions with people afoot. People who walk slow in the middle of the isle or various paths. Makes my blood boil even more if their fat. Walk faster and you might lose some weight.
Clean up on Isle 2, please.

Maybe you should be a man and have your woman do the shopping
I didn't wanna be that guy but this my exact thought when reading lol. Shopping makes my blood boil everytime because everyone's a complete idiot who are unaware of their surroundings. I turn into an arse and start directive traffic like I do at work and the road because people need help nowadays. I got married and I help her cook, clean, and dishes. I dont change shitty diapers unless it's been a real rough day for her, and I do not shop. I do all I can and cherry pick the bullshite im not about to do and I'm a good husband so she has no issue w that at all.

The slow right turners and the slow mergers are the same people most assuredly.
Posted on 8/5/24 at 9:44 pm to Corriente Kid
They are the same ones that sit in passing lane going slow and won't move over

It may not solve the problem, but the proper play is to add items from the opposite shelf to their cart. The witnesses will just give you their blessings with a head nod.
