I have 36 people "marked safe" on Facebook. I don't know what the frick that even means, but I've already talked to anyone I care about.

I declared myself safe on Facebook from the typhoon in China

Didn't think any of them were doing anything out of the ordinary. Maybe staying inside because of the rain.
The next day or two will be pretty interesting. Houston will probably see some flooding.

They all marked themselves safe too early IMO. I'm waiting for the rain to stop before I declare that I'm safe.

At least 5 people officially dead OP. Not sure if they were able to change their Facebook status though. Thank god we're this far from the storm or it could get dangerous for us.

Do you know much about houston and flooding? It floods for a normal rain. It's only going to get worse for them.

You're a scumbag for that comment. You should be banned.

RA'd.
This shite isn't funny, nor are these comments. you realize thousands of people are losing their homes and every possession they own? you are drastically underestimating the magnitude of the devastation the state of Texas is in or will be in.

This didn't go as planned

To be fair he posted this yesterday when Houston was fine. People checking in then didn't serve a purpose as they weren't in much danger then. Now, I'm checking in hourly with my family in Houston.

I have family in Baytown and I live outside the country. One of them has health issues that could be a serious issue if they get flooded in. So I care about what's going on and it's hard to find news on specific areas of Houston and the outlying areas.

I think the OP is just a dumbass who posted this thread too soon. Half of Houston thought like he did. That Houston was in the clear.
