Just before 4 a.m. on Feb. 23, officers received a call about a pedestrian hit by a vehicle in the 4900 block of Common Street, according to Treadway. The victim was identified as 26-year-old Robert Charles Wyckhoff Jr.
Treadway said life-saving measures were performed, but Wyckhoff died from his injuries.
Limited details are available at this time, Treadway said. The crash remains under investigation.

Fourth-offense DWI
Vehicular homicide
Driving under suspension
Gosh dang, what a POS. Fatrick Mahomes will probably be a prison favorite.

Really wish LA took DWI's more serious. You're always reading about some dumb arse who is on his 6th DWI and somehow isnt in jail.

If they threw all the drunks in jail how would they make money off all of the drunk drivers?
Think man.

I kind of wonder at what point they should just put them in jail for life. You know he's probably driven drunk a couple hundred times if he managed to rack up 4 DUIs

Lawyers, most problems in this state go back that.

If he was given a dwi 3 times before how often do you think he was driving drunk? 100s?

Awful. When drunk they don’t care about license being suspended, or they don’t care when sober.
At some point DWI’s should be punished as an attempted homicide.

When I was married my brother in law had a breathalyzer put in his truck and his wife tried saying that it was because the cop was an a-hole. I went along with it because I didn't want that argument with my wife.

There was another DWI related death posted on the OT fairly recently, and the driver being charged with his 1st DWI stood out because the ones killing people usually do have multiple DWIs. Might not have been in Louisiana, but DWIs do need to be taken more seriously. If they need to go back to two tiers to really add some harsh punishment to any DWI in that higher tier I would support that as well.

Alcohol in general should be taken more seriously, but its not .

It doesn't matter what you call it, the sentence needs to be high and the DA should not have the discretion to reduce the charge and the court should not be allowed to accept a plea to a lesser charge. BTW, fourth offense DWI, in and of itself, doesn't mean that this is the fourth DWI. Every subsequent offense is charged as a Fourth Offense DWI.

His Facebook is open. TL;DR, he loves LSU, drives an F150 and power washes houses.

Should have been in jail long before 4th one.

Don't use any superlatives, even in jest, on this loser.
He should be executed tonight.
Total disrespect to anyone or anything on society.
