A lot of truth there, but we know that's not how it always goes down. The original rhetorical posed is probably a more common situation than you'd like to believe. So are the children still affected the same as kids who have an isolated bed/bedroom that roam during the night?

If other, then I don't think once in a blue moon if an older kid (less than high school) crashes in bed if one of the parents isn't there is weird. But pretty much anything after grade school should be curtailed.
Main thing is by kindergarten, then maybe every few months randomly.

First it is no ones fricking business what we do. Second I'm not poor and have a king size bed and if my kid wanted to get in once in awhile we didn't care. Rule was no kicking and we had plenty of room. It's called loving your children and if the worst thing I ever did was allow my child to sleep in my bed every now and then than I'm in good shape.

I don't have kids but I'm not putting them back into bed. I probably wouldn't wake up when they came into bedroom. I sleep like the dead.

I flipped my son's doorknob around after he learned how to navigate the childproof knob device. If he wants to sleep in our bed every now and then, it's whatever. I'm not poor, I have a king-sized bed. I can't even tell he's in there most of the time.
