Parents who let their children sleep with them - Lazy

You know the ones. Their child gets up in the middle of the night and gets in bed with them And they're too lazy to put the child back in his or her own bed. And they complain that they can't get their child to sleep alone. I'm not talking about a two-year-older.

Really the natural way to do it. If my four year old gets up at 3am, he's welcome to just finish the night in our bed. Everyone gets to sleep = a win IMO.
FYI, finding a way to sleep during sleeping hours is not lazy, it's smart
Make every effort to get kids to sleep in their own bed, but sometimes the fight isn't worth it. No exceptions after 5yrs, though.

Kind of like the child who throws a temper tantrum to get what he wants. A parent gives him what he wants. He shuts up. It's a win-win.

I'm staunchly anti-kid-sleeping-in-my-bed. I won't have it. I want nothing of it. It's my bed. It's my love emporium. This is no place for a child.
But seriously, we spend all our waking hours with our children. I really believe that parents need that time in their beds to themselves free from the kids. And the kids need to learn that their beds are a safe place. I had mine trained from day one that there is no way she's getting in my bed. It took a few rough nights, but I won the goddamn war on that one.

I'm not worried about who is sleeping in your bed so mind your own business and don't worry about who is sleeping in mine. Is their really anything more annoying than people who want to parent everyone else's children? I will take lazy over annoying any day.

I have no problem with my kids getting in our bed during the night. I think I sleep better knowing they are ok.

My 2 yo wakes up around 5 and comes in our most nights, I get up at 530 so we leave him in there. Occasionally he will wake up earlier, nightmare or something, I'll let him get in bed to calm down and get back asleep and I carry him back to bed.
They only stay little for so long, I know I'll miss it when he is older.

I did not know having a seven year old child sleep in his or her own bed constitutes abandonment.
