I’m so glad my son’s private school has a sheriff there in case something happens. A lot of public school districts will have these kind of demands.

I think they should add banks with no security guards also!

Hell, no need to stop there. Let's build some "neighborhoods" to use as jails from now on.

No one would argue with these why do groups have to throw in all of those other crazy requests that will never be agreeded to. They lose all credibility by doing that. Just like the PAC 10 players, some of the issues they brought up were legitimate and people would be back them on it. They then lose those same people by adding social justice issues which having nothing to do with original premise.

Get real.

Some douchebag white carpet bagger from Berkley wrote this for them.

Just say "Nah. Go to school."

The end. What are they going to do about it?

Moratorium on new charter or voucher programs

horseshite. That's not something that would be included by a group of parents of students in the parish. That's some of the same tripe pushed by the teacher's union in Los Angeles recently.

I hope someone on the school board has the balls to call this shite out.

Why do black kids have an uphill battle?

It's surely not parents (parent) refusing to allow them to attend school unless they get more handouts and no safety enforcement.

It must be racism.

Love it!

And this has WHAT to do with school?

Moratorium on new charter or voucher programs and standardized testing

God forbid we try and test to see if anyone is learning anything

Whenever I question how much I'm paying for my child's tuition, I look at what I don't have to deal with in the public schools, and it makes me feel better.

A sure fire to have your "demands" ignored and laughed out of town.

Same as BLM and the idiotic whites completely disrupting and destroying a movement.

CLOWNS one and all.

That is my major complaint about the news media: does "parents" mean 2 idiots or half the population? If one idiot says something sure to infuriate a large enough of the populace, the media will report it so that they can get more people clicking on their links and increase their revenues.

Those are so ridiculous that most people will gloss over the most telling one...moratorium on charters, vouchers, and standardized testing. This alone shows they have not the interest of the students first but their own.

Are they also demanding 2 parent, hard working households who care about education too?
