I've two occurrences of horrible anxiety

I quit caffeine, started working out and ate better. It's been over a decade since I had an issue. Anxiety attacks are horrible. Mine were nowhere near OPs though. That sounds absolutely terrible. It sounds like he needs to see a psychologist.

Long story short, hospital confirmed it was not a heart attack and said it must've been a panic attack. I've had issues with anxiety all my life, but never have had anything like this happen to me. I'm 37 years old. Anybody ever have an emergency room run due to a panic attack? Honestly it's pretty embarrassing, and I'm not sure what to do next. My wife seems to think it was a seizure, but I'm leaning more towards panic attack.

try not to panic.

Fix this starting tomorrow and report back in two weeks.

Move around more, eat less, and eat as little processed food as possible.

Why? Anxiety and panic attacks aren't anything to mess with and you should seek professional help before it gets worse.

Nah. Medical issues should never be embarrassing. WGAF what anybody else thinks. Do what you gotta do to take care of yourself.

BTW, if you smoke marijuana quit as soon as possible.

Marijuana was the root cause of my panic attacks. After I quit getting high everyday, my panic attacks stopped.

Yeah you need to go see a psychiatrist. I've been off and on anxiety meds for awhile. The side effects suck, but I've come to the realization that I have no choice but to stay on them.

Isolated panic attacks are very common and common causes of ER visits. They're frequently triggered by stressful events and worrying, and are often isolated/one-offs, but if it seems unprovoked and it happens again, you should confirm again that it's not medical and if it's not, you may have panic disorder (recurrent unexplained panic attacks) for which psych meds can be helpful at preventing/minimizing further attacks.

I have. Had to get a shot of Ativan. Talk to your general practitioner and maybe seek counseling if it continues. I’ve been in counseling a few months for anxiety, and it’s been life changing.

The viscous cycle. Smoke it to relieve anxiety only for it to come back stronger.

I had almost the identical thing happen to me when I was your age. I thought for sure I was going to die. Went to ER and after several tests (EKG and bloodwork), doctor said it was a panic attack. I changed my lifestyle by exercising more, eating right and replaced alcohol with the endorphins from the exercise.
I personally would try this before medication (prescribed or self-medication) if possible. I think you will be fine.
Good luck.

Yea, it shouldn't be embarrassing - it's just your brain doing some odd stuff. It's really not any different than having a knee or back problem. OP really needs to see a professional.
