They all say they will make special trips, like one of the people on the Courtyard twitter saying they will make a special trip but they complain about beer prices all the time. It is all for show, that person isn't going to make a special trip to New Orleans to pay the price of a Courtyard beer when they have issues with US, GB, AR, BC, Parish, and Gilla cost.

I’m talking about their large following in the immediate neighborhood(s).

Clearly no one is flying to New Orleans to get a pizza in support. Just like most of the complainers weren’t going in the first place.

It certainly isn't the best place in NOLA but my wife and I make a point to go if we can when we are in new orleans. Can have a solid meal and a bottle of wine for a very affordable price and its got a quiet date night feel. Owner is a dude and he can be a little cold sometimes but most of the time is great.

Not sure how many people here can say they entered the already risky realm of the restaurant business. Then have this covid shite compound the risk even to a point where you probably won’t make it.

Gotta be stressful. The Scamdemic people have zero regard for these situations

I doubt that most upset would be making it a destination in the first place so it probably won’t hurt them much while many of their fans are saying they are making special trips.

You mean people like the people who went in there and started this by going in there? Obviously not a regular because they gave a first timers review. One of those types won’t hurt the business by not showing up? ??

Yes. Giving the restaurant your name stops the spread of the virus.

I can't believe contact tracing is actually the law in NOLA. It isn't even effective at this point.

Calling someone a knuckle dragger is as racist as anything else nowadays.

Honestly I’m glad so many restaurants are being so transparent, it makes it so much easier to decide where to spend my money. Especially in such a critical time

This is the main point here. I don't know how anybody could think about this logically for 30 seconds and not understand that. When a virus has spread to millions of people, it's pointless . It's just a "busy-work" thing to make people think "scientists" are doing something , when it's essentially a political/bureaucratic exercise.

That said, getting mad at a restaurateur when they are forced to do this to stay open is a dick move. As is roasting a paying customer using boring, standard-issue Progtard insults. 2020 folks.

Speaking of French Quarter Pizza Restaurants. Whatever happened to the killers in the Louisiana Pizza Kitchen executions?

Just FTR, Contact Tracing AFTER the virus is this widespread is a futile exercise. The time for contact tracing is at the very early initial stage of an outbreak-and then it's a very useful tool. Now , it's virtually pointless from an actual virus-cessation standpoint.

Want to know when I knew for certain that "contact tracing" at this point is useless?

It was when I saw a tweet from a local health department soliciting random people to apply to be "contact tracers". It is an effort by state and local governments to spend the piles of federal money they are getting.

Actual contact tracing would have been useful early on in the process. Now, with community spread and a growing number of asymptomatic people, it is pointless. And nevermind the fact that it seems to be reliant upon the expertise of Walmart door greeter types.

really don't get the "wear a mask" crowd right now.... they say they are wearing a mask to work together to beat this, but have recently chosen to do nothing but violently and with vulgarity SHAME anyone who is not all in with masks.....thats how you're gonna work together? You think that's gonna bring people to your side??? Come on

Said something similar in another thread. People don’t like to be bullied, and if you try to bully people into submission some will naturally not conform because of the tactic being used.

This is dumb as hell. I think the “scamdemic” people by and large are concerned with the economic impacts of the pandemic. They also probably aren't scared to go to a restaurant so that places like this will have a fighting chance.
