That made me think of this thread where the pit bull goes out into the water to maul a kitesurfer

“Garden” is British slang for the front yard or the back yard. The offending small female child was “playing in the yard with friends.” That explains to the American reader how provocative this child’s activity actually was.

Most pet owners would do anything to place the blame away from their beloved pet, even if that means blaming a 4 year old girl. It's infuriating, but, perfectly in accord with the nature of a pet owner.

Most pet owners would rather see the 4 year old girl in the ER with eye lacerations then to blame their beloved pet for any wrongdoing whatsoever.

She’s in England so a neighbor can’t do that. He’ll need to use a butter knife because kitchen knives are about to be banned too

This is literally said about every pit bull. of course they love those they know but kid you not, these dogs are vampires... its only a matter of time before they turn.

You know how stupid that woman has to be to not realize how insane it sounds to blame the 4 year old?

The owner should be forced to personally euthanasize his dog then himself.

Not to get all grammar Nazi in the thread, but somewhat glad to see the lack of proofreading isn't limited to the US.

quote:

A young girl who was left with horrific wounds to her face after a pitbull attacked her is set to undergo her fourth operation later this year.

Where is the punctuation?

quote:

blames the young her for the attack

before the court case was hear and wrote

Passes spell check, so must be good to go

I'm sure there are more, but I had a headache from reading that article; didn't help with all the jumping around from the advertisements.

This is absolutely, hands down, my least favorite phrase. It grates my nerves and journalists are so lazy when they use it.

When someone dies, celebrities "take to twitter" to offer condolences.

Find a new way to say it.

I googled Ms Holt, her residence was the subject of a drug raid at one time

Most pet owners are not rational when it comes time to blame either their pet or the neighbor's 4 year old girl for wrongdoing. The tendency is to blame any party other than their pet.

That's why the only language that can be understood in such a situation is brute legal force applied with maximum speed and clarity.

What does "she gone that low" mean?

After reading several British newspaper accounts of the incident, it seems the little girl "went low" to hug it around the neck. The dog perceived it as an aggressive action and attacked. The dog was euthanized.
