Employees are usually the worst thing for a business.

The lying, the stealing, the manipulating, the coming late and leaving early, the hooking up with coworkers, the playing on social media all day, the screwing up a process you should have learned years ago.

Yeah companies would be much better off without probably 80% of their traditional employees.

The reality is that employees are expendable and replaceable for successful businesses.

But a people-friendly slogan makes your customers like you.

The last priority a corporation has is the employees.
Way below profit margin, market share, future business, stockholders and stock price.

I get it. My employees are my biggest headache but they are a necessary evil. So is playing the PR game like this. It makes the unaware portion of our society feel all warm and fuzzy inside

It’s complete corporate BS because these companies generally don’t give a shite about their employees except to the extent that they can squeeze as much production out of them as possible before they get fed up and leave.

The truth is that they only care about them in the most utilitarian way possible.

And pisses off the employees.

But, you are correct. Everybody can be replaced.

Just because a replacement would be readily available does not mean it's not a critical.

The vast majority of these companies view their employees as interchangeable widgets and nothing more. They’ll demand loyalty (only because of downtime if they have to find a replacement) and never give it.

It can be if the employees are valued and trusted, but in many businesses they are not.

Employees aren't a great asset purely because they (deservedly) move around so much. Hiring budgets are always higher than retention budgets.

Not the employees fault at all. If you or any business or Boss lets this kind of behavoir go on then thats on you! You may have to go throught 50 people to get one good one. But take care of that employee and apprecitate them and they will stay
