I wear a luminox recon as my daily watch. I put it through hell and it's held up very well. Sapphire crystal makes all the difference. It's nothing fancy but I've been very pleased with it.

I wear a Hamilton, which is a good watch, and relatively cheap for an auto.

That new Tudor Black Bay Steel is pretty awesome

Yeah I hate that. NATOs have their place but I would never take something like a Rolex Explorer or Sub and stick it on a $12 NATO.

1999 birthyear I bought my son for his graduation. It has the original band but he likes the NATO.

I tried it on in that first picture. His wrist isn't that damn hairy yet.

Can't go wrong with Seiko or Citizen. I own one Citizen solar, one Seiko quartz, one Seiko automatic, one Seiko solar, and some Russian brand I can't even remember that looks badass but doesn't work as well as the seikos or citizen.

What??

They look awesome with NATO's. I change the straps on my watches all the time. It's like getting a new watch.

Rolex- (2- Submariner & Yachtmaster)
Suunto- (4- all purchased at an REI returned-goods event for less then $40 each)
Casio- a handful, usually wear them to the beach/lake)

Not sure if REI still has their returned-goods sales but one near me had one twice a year and it was a great place to pick up deals. I was told employees picked through the inventory first but I was able to find some Suunto's that had been returned for minor cosmetic issues and would order replacement bands or battery covers and they worked and looked as good as new for a fraction of the price. Eventually the word got out and the sales drew hundreds stretching around the building and if you weren't near the front of the line all the good stuff was picked through.
