I've been looking at Weiss recently. Hand made in The USA.

I like the green and blue dials.

I'd say Mido has that title, you won't get a better deal on COSC-rated.

You realize say for example, that the caliber 60 used in their chrono is just an ETA movement with a new name right? I like ETA movements but it's apples to oranges

NB4 one of the watch experts recommends a NATO strap no matter the watch.

I know, I stated as such in a previous watch thread. ETA workhorse movements are long evolutions, I have no issue with them in any comparison to what Rolex makes, especially some particularly up-rated 2892s. People complain how common ETA is but forget Rolex pumps out a million movements every year.

I wear Seiko at work and out. I wear Casio in the yard. I have a very old Rolex I will occassionaly break out for a wedding.

To me your dress watch should never cost more than a few days pay.

Poor financial planning.

Yeah I hate that. NATOs have their place but I would never take something like a Rolex Explorer or Sub and stick it on a $12 NATO.

they do, but their top-line Grand Seiko is generally not available in the States.

you can order them from Asia online and there are some U.S. resellers.
