Wife keeps asking me what I want for my birthday and I can’t really decide so I’m thinking about a watch.

What’s y’all’s thoughts on this Oris?

You probably need a weed whacker for that hairy arm first.

Oris Aquis is one of the best watches you can get at that price point IMO

Not a fan of integral bands. It’s not terrible.

How about a nice tool watch like a Sinn 856? Low key and solid.

ETA: or the utc version.

Oris puts out a quality product, but I don’t think I would get a 2k+ Oris. If I was spending 2k-ish on a watch I’d probably try to get a used Tudor Black Bay.

ETA: also that watch is probably 43mm, so definitely try it on before purchasing. It’s going to be pretty large, I realize not everyone has manlet sized wrists like me thoughts

Is that WalMart's version of a Rolex?

If he wants a GMT then I'm not sure a BB is the right choice. A lot of them still have date issues I believe. If OP isn't set on a GMT then he's got a bunch of other options at that range

True, I wouldn’t suggest a Tudor GMT. Didn’t know if the GMT functionality was integral to his purchase.

ETA: I really like the Oris watches in the 1k-ish range, great pieces for that price, it’s just that once you get past 2k, options open up quite a bit and there are some better options IMO.

Nice, but I feel like if I go back to wearing a watch it will be something like an Apple Watch. Something that does more than tell the time.
