COSC would be cool they don't say what movement

Overrated. It's a mechanical watch. If you care about accuracy, use the phone. I value watches on what I like and not necessarily the movement.

I want a speedy pro. I'll be getting one when I pass my PE.

I’d have to get the sapphire sandwich with a manual winding heart if I got a speedy. I do like the look of a hesalite though, be cool on a birth year version.

a diver automatic watch

No need to take your PE, you’ve already passed.

West Coast Time has a watch they put together that looks great with a domed crystal and tritium markers perfect size also.

You can get a 60 minute bezel or a GMT bezel.

My diver is the cheapest watch I own. It’s an SKX009 that I’m going to beat the shite out of until the day I decide to buy another SKX009.

Mine is on a navy blue original NATO (just the nylon, no bullshite unnecessary metal rings).

For some different suggestions...

Prometheus devil ray that's on preorder now looks pretty neat for something different. Also have a gmt version but most of those are sold out. Search Instagram for photos, their website sucks for that.

Nodus has a couple good looking options

That’s what I’m trying to find. A late 70s Omega speedster that can be passed down. Best place to find one? Or simply a list of what came out when?

Stowa Seatime Prodiver. I have this one but with the stainless band. It’s a great watch and pretty close to your budget. STOWA Seatime Prodiver

Nice, what color combo...pics?

Got a new band for mine. It needs some finish rework, but it’s been my EDC for years.

Those Christopher ward watches are very good looking.

I am not a collector watch type person, so omega, tag, and Rolex are just high priced brands to me.

Anyone have experience with the CW watches in regards to how well they keep time, issues with water resistance, automatic issues?

TIA

Only had my Trident C60 a few months I love it. I never tested time keeping. Assume +/- 20 is right. Water resistances I don't dive, and haven't snorkel yet scared of barracuda. That said last vacation I said f it and used it in swimming pool. No issues. I have scratched back clasp, but overall love it.

That said reading watch forums I am not the guy to give you nit pick stuff.

All in all would do again for sure
