Get an Oris Aquis or 65 Diver on the grey market if you want to stay in that ~$1k range.

If you want to save up a bit more (which is what I’d recommend as you already have a good cheaper diver in the CW), I’d go for a Tudor Black Bay 58 (~$3.5k).

I wouldn’t be scared of some of the online grey market dealers, do all your own research. You might get more bang for your buck that way. Good luck

Yeah I think I prefer Authorized dealer - used Jomas for a Raymond Weil for my dad just $300 watch. It came not working but he was so excited didn't notice got it sized. They insisted fixing t vs return. Was a little "New York" on the phone. End of day I can't complain about service. If I had an Omega not working I would not want to go through that.

Really like that Marathon posted. Had a new Aquaracer on my list for early next year, bonus season, but damn I can get off cheaper going that route. Already own a Formula One, so something other than a Tag would be fine with me also.

I like the older Omegas with in-house mvmnts. My Dad's 1962 Seamaster is my favorite watch...still

I love that. I really want to get a vintage Omega Seamaster from the 60s or 70s. Can I find a list somewhere of all the Seamasters they made by year?

Also, how big’s the face? I’m so use to rocking 40s/42s, that I’m not sure a 33.5 or something tiny like that would feel right. Even though I know that was the style back in the day.

This is my dad’s from 1970. I recently got it restored. Case size is 35.5. I usually wear a seiko skx007, which is 42.

Right on!

I'm leaning this way for now.

Although I could get this for a fraction of the cost.

Outstanding. I love the black bay. For a little more you can get a pelagos, which is a lot of watch for the money.

If you are looking at seiko field watches I’d roll with this SNZG15....love the 42 mm case size.
