American male with a job and family, that level of body fat is almost certainly unattainable

This is absolutely correct. A 32 year old man (guessing) is not putting on serious mass and losing serious fat without help.

I have no frame of reference with Zack Efron, but even the cleanest diet and serious strength training, a middle aged man isn't going from soft to ripped in a year.

come on

for the average American male with a job and family, that level of body fat is almost certainly unattainable

haha no it is not. That is 8% BF.

If the average guy goes on the correct weight training program and diet then he could easily obtain this. When I say easy, i don't mean comfortable I mean easy in the since its a do the work, eat the right shite and give it time and you will get there.

its a pretty easy template
1) do the greyskull LP(3 days of lifting at about an hour)

2) Do one greyskull approved conditioning exercise 6 days a week. Each has a time limit of max 15 min but most are 10min.

3) Do the Greyskull Villian Burpee Challenge

4)Choose to either get up and do morning walks or get 10k steps a day.

5) Follow the Get Shredded Diet

Now this is for somebody that wants this type of body fat % quickly. Honestly most people in the 20% BF range could get to this level in 3 to 4 months.

Difference is Zach has a lot of muscle also. For most this is the part that is going to take forever.

Also in that picture Zach has manipulated his Sub-Q water so that his skin is paper thin and his muscles pop.

now above is for somebody that wants it really quickly. for somebody that is ok with it taking 9 to 12 months

1) do greyskull lp and the conditioning.
2) DO IIFYM based on 40% P/ 30% C/ 30% F

if you think it can't be done, go join the iifym comp prep group on facebook, it can be done.

You are right though that for the average American its unobtainable, but its because they are fricking lazy. Spending a total of 4 hours a week in the gym is easily obtainable for the average american. I have 3 kids, work at least 50 hours a week, wife works at least 50 hours a week and all three of my kids are 5 and under, yet I still fine time everyday to workout.

I wake up at 5 and get an hour or so workout in or I do a workout after the kids are in bed or I go at lunch. You find time to do what you feel is important.
