Not being contrarian here, but I've actually gotten completely bored of french fries. I'd much rather have some roasted red potatoes with olive oil and a nice seasoning these days.

I will say when I make french fries at home in the deep fryer, be it crinkle cut, steak fries or whatever, they're always better at home vs fast food places.

I love some homemade french fries, but even better is to cut up eggplant in the shape of french fries and fry that up

This is a perfect example. A 6'0, 200 lb dude, who is clinically overweight, thinking he'd look "anorexic" if he was 170 lbs.

That’s a BMI of 26.9, so NO.

No its not, it's almost 10lbs over BMI metrics and the dude admittedly doesn't lift so it's fat.

Thats the point. They're almost the same height and weight, and the OP thinks that's the weight he should be the same weight while not exercising.

When someone is that obsessed with other people's weight it means they look like a giant baggie of mayonnaise.

Which is why I have cut the soft drinks completely out of my diet and only eat fried foods on occasion.

I’m 5’9”, 141lbs…is that considered OT overweight? Lol

No but you'll be called anorexic by the OT. That's on the lower end, but if you aren't lifting weights that's not far off from right where you want to be.

You're still like 20lbs or 10% bw overweight, so yes by a decent amount.

Thank you.

Mingo knows you need that extra encouragement to shed that last 10 pounds. I'd like to see where you are after you've been on a swimming routine for 8 weeks, check back in and let us know.

I'm with you. I feel sluggish the day after eating fried food. I even grill or bake most fish now. The only thing I can't get away from are duck fat roasted potatoes.
At 43 I feel the same about a 16oz steak. Anymore than 6oz of red meat gives me a hangover the next day like alcohol.
ETA: I also lost most of my weight when I stopped drinking alcohol. Feel 100 x's better too.

195 at 6'0 is definitely still fat and there's no way you'd look "anorexic" at 170

Not true!

When I was young and athletic I weighed in at 220 - 230 but looked more like 175 with my clothes on. Considering I was only about 5' 8" at the time my insurance company defined as "morbidly obese" and my doctor had to write them saying I was probably the most fit patient he had. Those height and weight numbers are averages and there are always exceptions. Some of your size is how you workout (just say NO to steroids) but the bigger part is probably genetics.

To the "fat shamers" out there, remove the log from your own eye before complaining about the speck in your fellow man's eye.
