Is that regardless of the previous criminal record of perpetrators, our law enforcement needs to demonstrate that they value human life during and after the arrest. Even with serial killers/ child killers/ terrorists. Because everyone is presumed innocent and has the right to a fair trial . We don’t want cops inflicting street justice for a thousand different reasons. Without respect for the rights of ALL people , we risk losing those rights for all people.

Yeah I don’t want them inflicting justice without a trial but if it turns out to be a career criminal they snuff out I won’t lose any sleep over it.

Do suspects also have a responsibility to not violently resist arrests when they are eventually caught?

Absolutely. Everybody has a responsibility to comply with the lawful orders of police. And it is in their best interest to do so.

Don’t know why George thinks respect for human life is a purely political issue.

I agree with you except for child killers/molesters. They need to be publicly executed

Some people actually totally fine with cops acting as judge, jury and executioner whether the punishment fits the crime or not, violates the constitution or no.
