If he’d turned off his cell phone he’d still be with us.

Last line of article:

"Research has shown that climate change will make severe turbulence more likely in the future."

Damn. Looked like that one guy had his life jacket on so they must have been panicked already.

Just too much air in the skies with all this climate change.

The very last sentence of the article.
Seems extremely necessary to include that as the closer

What does being a decent airline or not have to do with turbulence?

It has absolutely nothing. I was just asking a question.

Physics isn’t something I expect the average plane traveler to understand very well. This is why you have to keep your seatbelt engaged…even when the seatbelt sign is off it’s not worth the risk of unexpected turbulence tossing you into the ceiling.

Singapore Airlines is a decent airline so I'm assuming it was BKK.

There was a thread here just a couple days ago where i mentioned ive only flown Singapore Airlines once, but they had by far the hottest flight attendants ive ever seen.. got off the flight with a sore neck cuz i kept turning my head to see the hot stewardesses walk by.. much more pleasant way to get a sore neck than from turbulence .

On a side note, the film of Michael Crichton’s “Airframe” may get revived from development hell if this story takes off.

The story starts with an American family taking some home movies on a flight from China to California when turbulence happens. The state of the plane and number of injuries involved when the plane lands makes the manufacturer of the plane start investigating to figure out WTF happened before it torpedoes a sale of their planes to China.

The longest flight I have been on was 4 hours, it seemed like 4 days. I don’t know how people do those long international flights without going stir crazy.

Longest for me was 14. Did 12 of them over a 12 month period.

Benzos is the answer to your question. Oh, and company paid business class.

Certain passengers say “I don’t want to buckle up, it’s uncomfortable. It’s unhealthy, I’m morbidly obese, I need to pee”…………we refuse to obey rules put in effect FOR OUR OWN SAFETY.

Mother nature says “HOLD MY BEER”.

Yeah, come on guys, it’s safer to be in the air in a Boeing than to be a whistleblower on the ground.
