I could not imagine working in the ER in Baton Rouge. It must be absolute hell.
Culcha always blame the Doctors. Uneducated trash everywhere at OLOL, waiting in the ER

sure hope a deputy or other LEO decides he "feels like" beating this fricker unconscious.
these are the types that deserve whatever brutality and injustice they happen to get from whoever it is that inflicts it.

Do you think that's the alternative being suggested here?

The recent cases involving violence against Baton Rouge medical workers have raised questions about whether arresting patients is an effective response, particularly when mental health issues are involved.
Many advocates calling for better workplace safety argue that it's not productive, arguing instead that healthcare facilities need to devote more resources to preventing violence before it occurs, including through adequate staffing levels and individual patient care plans.

The OLOL emergency room gets most of the EKL patients now.

Every ER doc and nurse should be issued a tazer for these animals.
It's not like a Dr. is a wedding cake baker who is forced by law to perform by threat of imprisonment or anything.

Lol a buddy of mine is a psychiatrist at OLOL. Probably was him.

This jackass WILL be back through that ER. Just make a note on the chart so that every doctor knows to treat him the next time with 200mL air pushed into a vein.

Ochsner is better than OLOL but all ERs are bound by EMTALA.

I understand the Hippocratic oath and all, but your doctor has a lot of control over your future well being. It is a good thing i am not his doctor i would be practicing out of the back of a van on Monday because i would have made him pay dearly for said punch.
you punch a doctor i think that everyone should just back out of the room and say "fix yourself buddy" you are too much risk for me and my staff.
piece of shite.

When you begin a post title with "OLOL", first instinct is that you find the punching out of the ER doc hilarious.

Located on Hennessy Blvd. Hmmm??

I have said this in other threads. I took a kid to the ER one night at OLOL and that place was insane. There was a fight in the parking lot with no one giving two craps (like security). The waiting room was like a third world country. So, many people "hooping and hollering" for lack of a better term. I don't know how to describe it.
Thankfully, the kids ER is on the other side so when we figured that out we were moved away from that area.

This guy is no good to anyone.
Why not let the doc administer some meds where this TPOS never wakes up? I'm for it.

The incident happened around 5 p.m. at the hospital located at 5000 Hennessy Boulevard. Grey told deputies that he punched the doctor because "he felt like it" and "it would happen again."
Can doctors and nurses refuse to treat a specific patient if they have previously assaulted medical staff and threatened future assaults?
I understand the ER can't refuse entrance, but is there any reason this guy can't just be left in the lobby to bleed out next time he comes back?

Yes but it is an extremely difficult process to ban a person from an ER

Seems like assault and threats of future assault should be grounds enough.
