This song passes the macarena and people act like it's some new phenomenon.

Didn't know it existed until about 2 weeks ago.

quote:how is the billboard measured? Because this song is similar to the Baby Shark song. It is just kids that have the ability to listen to the same some over and over and over again. So i think this ability skews how popular things are measured.
It is now the longest running (17 weeks) #1 song in billboard history,

quote:is it? i mean i have heard it on the radio but not a ton. But i do hear my buddies kids yelling "put on oohh tonnn woad!!!" nonstop. So yes no matter what you say about this song being every where I still beleive this stat is skewed by the ablitly to put on any song at anytime with youtube, itunes, google play, etc.
This song is everywhere dude.

Lil Nas X should be a shoe-in for crossover artist of the year IMO

And that's different from any other song that comes out today?
This would happen with nearly any song that comes out today if that were the case.

country song
LOL, it's not a Country song, no matter how hard people want it to be, or claim it to be, it's not Country. And i do not listen to Country.
It's a garbage song, nothing more, maybe less.

Pop music ceased to exist once I went to college.

Fun song. Good for him. It’s not exactly country. But fun.

I don't. I mean i don't listen to that much new music, but when i'm in the car and going through my sirius xm channels, i have channel 2 on the pre-set list so i see new songs fairly regularly. I might not listen to them, but i see them as i scroll throw my pre-sets quite often when driving. I honestly hadn't heard that song until recently.
