How many thousands of times do I have to listen to Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, and Motley Crue on repeat until my musical taste is considered grown up?

People always said that country and rap were very similar in style.

This proves it.

I just looked up old town road on YouTube. This can’t possibly be the song you’re talking about. I’d rather listen to Matchbox 20( )

You're so dumb you don't even realize why people think you're dumb.

Everybody knows it's not a great song. Nobody is going to argue with you that it's some musical masterpiece or something, people who enjoy just think it's fun.

What makes you a joke is you feeling the need to inform everybody that you've never heard this song because you don't listen to popular music and how you're so much more enlightened than everybody bc of it.

You're like an edgy teenager.

If only we could all be grown up enough to have to the musical taste of a miserable 60 yr old hermit. They should've just stopped making music 30 years ago bc the same limited selection of 70s and 80s stadium rock on repeat for the rest of your life never gets old, amirite?

Damn.

Roger, you should just go ahead and walk away for the night

If you have to ask, you're nowhere near.

Nirvana is overrated af. They didn't have half the actual musical talent of the other bands you listed

Now that you mention it, Kurt Cobain is actually a pretty good comparison to Lil Nas X. Both made some really catchy songs that required little talent and that old people hated, and in the process pioneered sub-genres that will fade away relatively quickly

Dave Groll is extremely talented.

But yes, Nirvana was the pop version of a movement that had been going on for 5-6 years.

My 4 year olds love this song and I honestly don't mind turning it up for them. It has a phat beat.

In the sense that he can do a lot of different things well, but he's not really great at any one thing. He's a fairly average drummer, guitar player, and singer.

His best attribute is being a charismatic and likeable front man

If musical talent were a primary factor in musical artistry then how come 99.9999% of people that are really good at playing music fail to make original popular music?

Good musicians are easy to find. Original content is hard to find. Nirvana made catchy songs that were ironic in the existing landscape of heavy metal and pop. Kurt Cobain was incredibly talented in that regard.

Why don't you make some simple catchy songs and make some money, since it's so easy?

Yet it is not.

You youngins do not know what defining musical moments are.
