Well depending on this stat.
It is now the longest running (17 weeks) #1 song in billboard history, its been America's favorite song since April 1st of 2019.

quote:

"Road" takes its place in Hot 100 history alongside notable record-setters. Among the most distinguished achievements, The Beatles boast the most No. 1s (20), Carey has spent the most time at No. 1 (79 weeks) while, upon the chart's 60th anniversary last August, Chubby Checker's classic "The Twist" claimed the top spot on the Hot 100's Greatest of All Time retrospective chart.

Lmao I remember when country music didn't want any part of the song, now the song is bigger than any country song that has ever been released

It's a pretty catchy tune. I play it on repeat while I'm fishing. Lets real recognize real.

Don't know if I've ever heard it. I stay as far away from country as I can. It's garbage music with NO talent

It made no sense without that context. Don't lash out at the truth. You have no room to call anyone else stupid.

Isn't this skewed somehow? They have so many more categories now for every genre of what some people call music.

Which means you'll hear a bunch of old town road clones for the next two years.

Catchy song that resonates with a lot of people.
Not every song has to be sophisticated.

Barbie Girl was a smash hit when I was a teenager so I'm not going to judge.
