You’d think those oil companies could afford some better talent and coaching

Anadarko held the ball for much of the game because there is no shot clock in Oklahoma high school basketball. The alleged strategy was to ostensibly steal a win against the No. 3 team in Oklahoma’s Class 4A rankings. Anadarko is No. 9.

That coach should be embarrassed

They got down by 4 points...an still continued to just hold the ball?

Is there no 5 second rule either? This is dumb. High school doesn’t need a shot clock.

We played a team in Middle School that held the ball for almost entire quarters one time. Final was a 19-17 win to a boring arse game. Can’t tell you another score from 7th-8th grade basketball but I’ll never forget that one

The coach who tried this chickenshit strategy still lost?

In 1979 Duke and UNC basketball went into halftime with the score 7-0. Dean Smith stalled 4 corners for 11 straight minutes in the 1st half

There's no shot clock in high school basketball.

Let the refs blow the whistle for stalling like this. 4-2 should never happen.

Our local high school team plays in class B , A couple of years ago Maddison Prep was in their district. Maddison Prep had 6’11” Jarrell Martin( LSU and NBA) along three other future D1 players Our tallest kid was a 5’ 11” white boy. They pressed from start to Finnish. The final score if I remember was 106-12 We played them in baseball later , we ran bases It was 23-0 after three before they called the game

Holy Cross used to do this in the early 80s

I loved to watch DB's teams run the four corner before there was a shot clock, they ran it to perfection, it would have infuriated me if it were the other team running it though

At that point just send the bench in, foul, and make em shoot.

Why? It’s called strategy. Purpose of game is to win. No different than a run and gun team. You do what you have to do to win. What if other team beat them 90-36 the first time?
