DeSantis is going to have it converted into a prison since Disney has already done most of the work for them.

If you are going to do something like that at least open it to the masses that would pay normal rates for it

or have something in it that would draw visitors outside of those that stay there

OR. The government is housing the illegal aliens in hotels across the land and somebody will pickup the tab.

I’d stay there if it was like a holiday inn express and $100/night

They were on crack charging those prices. There’s only so much money idiots will spend.

Costs were insane. Even the biggest dorks couldn't afford that.

Bunch of morons running Disney

In this inflationary environment where families are struggling to afford the basics, asking $3k a night for a $300 hotel room is doomed to failure.

While the price was stupid high regardless, this wasn't marketed to the family saving for two years to go to Disney. They could just open it as a Star Wars-themed hotel essentially on the grounds of Hollywood Studios and it would be full all year.

This was one of those things that everyone knew was a bad idea except for the genius who thought it up

Covid and their pricing killed this thing. It was supposed to be some super immersive role-playing type experience but they had to cut all of that out when they couldn't staff the place. They kept pushing the opening back and when they did open it it was just like any other hotel. No real experience to offer. THEN, the floated these pics in the renderings:

When people checked in this is what they got:

It’s just not a sustainable price model. Upwards of 3k a night is crushing to even the top end customer.

I am/was the audience for that (middle aged dude with young kids). Even I have a limit to my Star Wars’ fandom. That was it for that price price point.

Huge SW fan. Kid of the 80s. Have some disposable income now. But this thing was destined to fail. It was way over priced and catered to those were disposable income becomes monopoly money.

Honestly, the way Disney has screwed the SW franchise (yes, I am on old man, get off my lawn) I don't care if this thing was tore down and made as a brothel for wookies.

No kidding. The pics I've seen of the place are not flattering. It could just as easily been from some average sci-fi TV show like Buck Rogers.

Pay $5000. Play bingo in a confined atmosphere and see fake Rey do Rey things. What could possibly go wrong with this model?

I have to show this quote to my brother! He and Peter Mayhew were friends. He's gonna get a kick out of this!

I got a way to solve their problem….do the exact same thing but figure out a way to do it for half the price.

The audience that wants this doesn't have the money to pay for it it's as simple as that

Episodes I-III were just as bad as anything disney did.

The 1000 spinoffs didn’t help either.
