Found 2 in my house this evening. Might put blood on the top of my doors and pray for passover.

They were coming in under doors, through lights in the ceiling.

The worst part is that the swarmers can be so overwhelming and get in everywhere that you genuinely don't know if you're infested or it's just a swarmer that got into your attic then popped out a light fixture in some interior closet, making you wonder "How TF did one get in here??" No matter how many times I go through this, I always have stress and paranoia spikes this time of year.

I’m convinced the Chi-coms brought the Formosans to the U.S. as an intentional act of sabotage.

Who is a good company in Covington for effective termite treatment? We bought our house a little over a year ago and never had treatment done because the previous owner said they had it treated. We’ve found a couple inside the house tonight. Who would you guys recommend?

Wife finds gold. After thirty years of calling every bug she sees a termite, she finally finds one tonight. I think she will have a cow shortly. Termite man was here and sprayed less than a few weeks ago. She wants him back. I need a good highball.

That's normal..They just fly in from outside.. If you want, take a walk around the outside of house and look for mud trails..If you have any wood laying on the ground... get rid of it...

It took me several years to convince my wife that finding a few in the house each day didn't mean our how was about to collapse from termite damage.

How old is the house? Was the slab treated during construction?

Effective termite treatment is expensive, and a lot of people pay for a meaningless “walk around and spray” for peace of mind during swarm season. The reality is that a few termites flying into your house aren’t going to hurt anything. They just wind up dying indoors. Just turn your exterior lights off and make sure there are no wood piles, tree branches, etc. touching your home. If you see signs of actual termite infestation (tunnels, workers, etc.) in or around your house that’s a different story and you need to call a professional ASAP.

Just my 2 cents.
