She accidentally shot him with her gun and not her taser?
Definitely need to defund police and reduce training. Especially firearms training.

Holy frick.
She’s a dumbass, but that’s how you get shot right there.
They should make this a teaming video of how to get shot by the police. His chances of being shot went from 0 percent to much higher when he started resisting.

Are you saying there was nothing wrong with this incident?
It's ok to call people out when they are wrong, you know. Each incident should be treated individually by honest people.

I don’t know her background, but it makes you wonder with all of the police attrition in these blue cities, did we get an inexperienced, recently trained officer put in a position that she wasn’t really able to handle.

I'd say she intentionally shot him with a taser that had recently transitioned into a 9mm.

Any time you lunge into your car in a situation like that you are ASKING to get shot. First thought in the Cops' head had to be "he's going for a gun."

This lady is not fit for her job. Fire her. Pulling a gun instead of a taser is not an acceptable "oops my bad moment".
she even warned that she was going to tase him, and then gave the usual "taser, taser, taser" line while never realizing she was holding her gun.
That is...wow, what a frickup.

A fully loaded 9mm is so much heavier than a damn taser. How do you not notice?
Eta
She deserves to be charged with some form of manslaughter. It wasn’t her intent to kill him but her active actions directly lead to his death.

That may be one of the biggest police frickups I've ever seen. Can't believe she couldn't tell the difference between her taser and service weapon. Some people just aren't cut out for the force but in many instances we don't find out until it's too late.

Google “ man shot with gun instead of taser”. It happens frequently.
Yea I think I've seen this sort of thing happen a couple of times. The biggest story I can think of is Oscar Grant about a decade ago. He was in a big fight at the train station in Oakland. Police came to round everyone up. They have him faced down on the ground, both hands behind back, but had trouble getting him into handcuffs. Cop pulls a gun and bang, right through the back. His defense was he thought he pulled his taser.

He was getting back into his car.
Why didn’t she just shoot his tires and pop them? Or his brake lines to make the car stop ?

However, I err towards the side that no criminal charges will be charged on her imo.
I don't see how charges won't be filed. The fact she meant to pull her taser shows she recognized that deadly force wasn't warranted at that point. That will be used against her. Had she meant to pull it thinking he was going to for a weapon, she would actually have a better argument I would think.

Stop pulling people over for shite like brake tags and tints. We all know it's just to make contact to look for other things.

Seriously? Are you 100% certain he didn't have a loaded handgun in the car, you know....like the warrant he was being arrested for said he already had?
Okay, you shoot the tire. He turns around with a gun and fires away. What then?

IF there’s a manslaughter indictment I’d be surprised if the officer is ultimately convicted.
