Man, this burns me up. Folks rushing in as soon as the door opens. I make a point out of nudging my way out past them and stating (firmly) "Excuse me!" when some a-hole tries to push his way in.

Completely agree on all counts.

Also, look up from your phone prior to exiting to be sure you’re getting off on the right floor.

If you get on an elevator while talking on speaker, you deserve instant death

I'll be honest. Not too many things bother me, but when I go to get on an elevator and as I am approaching, it is filled with people so I have to wait for it to come back down.. Especially if it is a building with only 3 or 4 floors.

If I could use the stairs I would every time just because I wouldn't have to wait for the elevator, etc. Taking the stairs is pretty much free exercise, but there are people who would rather wait for the elevator just to go up one floor. That's fricking lazy.

Thought that was standard protocol so you could check them out from behind.

Uh.. no.

It’s 2019. I have an Alexa to turn off my lights so I don’t have to flip a light switch - and you think I’m taking stairs?

I'm in a building full of law firms. It amazes me that they will continue talking about a case on an elevator.

When I worked in a big hospital, I once got on an elevator and heard a couple of surgeons discussing where to get a beer. At 8:30 am.

If there’s any delay in the doors opening say ”Looks like we’re stuck, let’s decide who to eat first”. Gets them every time.

I have fat asses on the 2nd floor of my 12 story building that will take the elevator down one floor to the bottom. At the end of the day, the elevator is often full by the time it gets to them. It opens, they see it's full and say "I'll wait" instead of walking their lard guts down one floor.

I never liked the fatties, but something about working in a cube farm with a bunch of obese middle aged women really sets me off.

The letting people exit before people enter is the one that amazes me.

I am blown away when people try to just get on and no one can get off

So hold up. Are you really in a wheelchair? Because if so I sincerely apologize for all the wheelchair jokes I've made to and about you before.

It’s much more efficient for the people closest to the door to exit first.

It’s much more efficient to remove women from most of our daily activities but that would be sexist and we don’t do it.
