Cancers fueled by obesity are on the rise among young adults in the United States and appearing at increasingly younger ages, according to an analysis released Monday by the American Cancer Society.

The study, published in The Lancet Public Health, examined data on 12 obesity-related cancers between 1995 and 2014, as well as 18 common cancers not associated with weight. They found a disturbing trend among adults age 24 to 49.

The six obesity-related cancers that showed startling increases among younger adults were colorectal, endometrial, gallbladder, kidney, pancreatic and multiple myeloma, a cancer of the bone marrow.

Globally, obesity has reached "epidemic proportions," says the World Health Organization, which estimates that more than 1 billion adults are overweight, with at least 300 million of them considered clinically obese.

It's funny that the economically illiterate want socialized medicine, yet we have the fattest populace on the planet.

We could never afford to care for the lards in this country.

This is why EBT foods should be only certain, wholesome foods.
You want junk food? Earn it.
You want the government to give you food? It's gonna be the good for you stuff, so the government doesn't have to also pay your Medicaid tab.

I grew up in the 80's and 90's and look, our parents really didn't know any better, so they get a pass. Nowadays, there are no excuses. I'm shocked by the level of shite i see parents give their kids.

Uh, so did I and they knew enough. I rarely ate junk food as a kid because my parents didn't keep it in the house. It's not rocket science that shitty food isn't good for you. This isn't a new revelation.

Maybe it’s radiation, maybe it’s pollution, but more likely the biggest issue is diet. Carbs make people fat and feed tumors.
