NYC Mayor Under Scrutiny For Dancing To R Kelly's 'I Believe I Can Fly'

He can fly, but can he run? While in South Carolina feeling out a presidential bid, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio danced to the R. Kelly song “I Believe I Can Fly,” spreading his arms like wings and flapping along with other members of the congregation.
quote:
n the 18-second video, a choir member belts out the song, backed by the rest of the chorus, swaying and flapping their arms. Some congregation members do the same, while others sit tight. De Blasio’s arm movements seem halfhearted, but the motion is there. His goal on the trip, analysts say, is to get known among Democrats outside New York City. The mayor is traveling with his wife, First Lady Chirlane McCray.
Video included in article.

Forget the politics. Not sure if people like this dude or not... Or even care.. But this is the stupidest god damn thing I ever seen.
What R Kelly did is horrible and he is a one stupid son of a bitch and should spend the rest of his life in jail. But I mean.. Is dancing to his song really something that should be a story?

If him and Hillary Clinton can do a "colored people time" skit and survive it unscathed, then this won't be a blip on the radar

I don't get it. We gonna ban all R Kelly songs now? They still play the hell out of Michael Jackson songs.
Pee on a girl and it's over. Rape little boys and the world is fine.

White politicians begging for black people's acceptance has got to be the saddest thing I've ever seen.

DeBlasio encourages the idiot liberals in NYC to get riled up about all kinds of ridiculous shite. He deserves every bit of this.

If they didn’t say anything about Obama using 99 Problems while running against Hillary, I never want to hear bitching about campaign music again.

That’s a legit song. You can appreciate art without agreeing with the artist.
That would be like refusing to enjoy a first class meal because the chef did something in his personal life you didn’t like.
I mean, are Cosby Standups retroactively unfunny because he roofied some drinks?

Still a phenomenal song, regardless of how shitty of a human R Kelly is.

Meanwhile, Back in New York City...
Yes, let's bring that sort of success to the rest of the country.

New York City is careening closer to all-out financial bankruptcy for the first time since Mayor Abraham Beame ran the city more than 40 years ago, experts say.
As tax-fleeced businesses and individuals flee en masse, and city public spending surges into the stratosphere, financial analysts say Gotham is perilously near total fiscal disaster.
Long-term debt is now more than $81,100 per household, and Mayor Bill de Blasio is ramping up to spend as much as $3 billion more in the new budget than the current $89.2 billion.
Yes, let's bring that sort of success to the rest of the country.

Wait till someone is caught dancing to a Micheal Jackson song

They had a morning show talking about that. Saying if you just "gonna trip out after seeing documentaries Michael is probably worse. We still listen to Michael. I listen to both, I'd just never let them around my kids"

I never thought Cosby was that funny. His "high and mighty I don't cuss" bullshite made me not a fan of his.

He and his wife should be under scrutiny for defrauding the citizenry of New York.
