52% is probably New York. The rest of the country is closer to 40%.

Divorce Rates are over 50%.
And as you said she STILL gets your money even if she F's the entire town.

The problem I have always had with this percentage constantly being repeated is no one knows what data is being inputted. My stepmom was divorced back in the 90s, my dad is widowed. Her divorce still counts towards the # of first marriages that ended in divorce, 30+ years later. At what point does that number fall from the data? Do they still count divorces when one, or both, people are dead?
There are a lot of reports that state that the overall divorce rate is in the 40% range; but they still do not state what information they are presenting when formulating that rate.
There are also a lot of sites that tell us the divorce rates are dropping; which may be a more telling that just regurgitating that 1/2 of all marriages end in divorce without stating what time frame are you talking about.

My wife’s parents aren’t divorced
My brother isn’t divorced
My wife’s siblings aren’t divorced.
Marriage and divorce are a culture thing. I’m either a 1/30000 chance or just in a value system that honors their vows and the roles of husband and wife.
