That’s only one of the several INSANE things they’re voting on.

This is far from political. It just seems that way. The politicians answer to the Central Banks (Federal Reserve here in the U.S.) first and foremost.
This has everything to do with their Ponzi scheme collapsing around the globe and they need scapegoats (viruses, climate change threats, etc.) to print money as fast as they can and force governments to borrow it and this will only ramp up further and faster with more distractions than you can ever imagine.
